“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.”
— John 4:14
Summer heat can leave us feeling parched, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too. It’s easy to run through our days, filling up on everything but what truly satisfies. We chase more work, more distractions, more activity, hoping for refreshment that never quite comes.
But what if the real hydration we need isn’t from the outside world, but from within? Jesus offers us Living Water—not to quench temporary thirst, but to satisfy the deepest need of our souls.
When the world gets noisy and the days get long, we don’t have to keep running on empty. He offers us a well that will never run dry. And the more we drink, the more we’re filled—not with the things of this world, but with His peace, presence, and purpose.
Grace Notes
I’ve noticed that the busier my days get, the thirstier I become for His Word. It’s not a matter of checking a box; it’s a way to come to Him and drink deeply. In the quiet moments, He fills me with the kind of refreshment the world cannot offer.
